Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone’s names were never taken together to highlight friendship but rather make headlines for their Cold War. The leading ladies created a lot of buzz once upon a time because of their link-up with Ranbir Kapoor. Reportedly, it was one of the most controversial love affairs in Bollywood. Years later after his breakups with these leading ladies, Ranbir is now happily married to Katrina’s once BFF and superstar Alia Bhatt.
Katrina Kaif, while vocalising about her relationships with Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt, said it does not matter now. Katrina once had an awkward equation with Deepika but now the actress clarified that she reacted to the instinct. She also said that there is no animosity or discomfort between them anymore. In an interview with Elle India, she said “It comes from realising that these things don’t matter. Me holding on to resentment or a grudge isn’t going to change the situation. It boils down to logic. But I’m human. Yeah, I feel bad, I cry. I feel devastated. And then, I get back up and say, it’s fine. Something’s coming, something’s coming. As for the uncomfortable equation I once had with Deepika… I just react to instinct. I don’t feel that animosity or discomfort between us anymore. I felt happy to let that go,”
Katrina attended the wedding reception of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in 2018. Deepika invited Kaif to the reception and around that time she told Filmfare, “A lot of water has flown under the bridge. For me, just the fact that she came and was very present was gracious.”
Another time the two leading actresses made headlines when they were seen in a single frame. Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone with their spouses Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh clicked a group picture at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar.
