Even the pictures of the two from Aaradhya Bachchan’s birthday celebrations also sort of indicated that the two are together. Similar to their divorce rumours, there was a big buzz when Aishwarya and Abhishek married.

While many guests from the Bollywood fraternity were invited very close friends like Shatrughan Sinha, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Rajesh Khanna were dropped citing the bad health of Abhishek’s grandmother. While Bachchan had good ties with Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji, they decided not to invite them considering Aishwarya’s history with the Dabangg actor.

Even Ash and Rani were also not on good terms after the latter replaced Aishwarya in Shah Rukh Khan ’s Chalte Chalte without even discussing it with Ash. It had started a cold war between the two actresses who earlier were good friends. That is why Bachchan decided not to invite Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji to the wedding.

But in return, they asked Aishwarya Rai not to invite Hrithik Roshan to the wedding. After the hot kiss between Duggu and Ash in Dhoom 2, Bachchan family was not happy with Hrithik. During the same time, The Bachchan Tour was announced. While Bachchan was a big name together, Hrithik had already become a bigger star than Abhishek Bachchan and hence he felt left out with the name of the tour. That is why he opted out of it further triggering tension between the two families.

Similarly, Hrithik Roshan and Ash clearly overshadowed Abhishek in Dhoom 2 which was also a major bone of contention between Hrithik and the Bachchan’s. That is why they asked Aishwarya not to invite the Krrish actor to their wedding. It had pretty much left Hrithik quite distraught because Ash and Abhi married around the time the former Miss World and Duggu were shooting for Jodhaa Akbar.

She did carry the invitation cards of her wedding on the set but did not give them to Hrithik Roshan although she wanted to do so. More than 15 years later, things are all well between the Bachchan and the Roshan families but the same cannot be said about Ash and Abhi’s relationship.
