The popular Netflix series Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives dives into the personal and professional lives of Bollywood stars Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavna Pandey, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh. Its third season, released on October 18, 2024, introduced new personalities from New Delhi, including Shalini Passi, Kapoor Sahni, and Kalyani Saha Chawla, who have quickly captured fans’ attention.

One standout moment from this season involved comedian Tanmay Bhat’s remark about Shalini Passi, calling her a “sample” in a resurfaced interview clip.

“In Bombay, we would refer to you as a sample”.

Although Passi didn’t react immediately, fans were quick to criticize Bhat for his remark, which many found distasteful.

Neelam Kothari said,

“I was gonna say this but I held back.”

During the conversation, Tanmay jokingly labeled Shalini a “sample,” to which she replied with grace, saying,

“In Bombay, you call it a sample. In Delhi, we say unique,”

winning fans over with her dignified response.
