Sussane Khan has finally revealed the reason behind her divorce with ex-husband, Hrithik Roshan!

Marriages and relationships have always been quite fragile in Bollywood. Now we hear another story that involves the ugly separation of Bollywood’s once ‘It Couple’, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan.

The couple parted ways in 2013 and got officially divorced in 2014, ending their 13 years of marriage. The ex-couple always maintained silence when it came to their broken marriage, nobody revealed the reason behind it.

After almost two years of their divorce, Sussanne Khan finally broke her dignified silence on her divorce in one of the interviews in 2016. Here is what this ex-star wife said:

“We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it is better we weren’t together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends).”

On Gauri Khan‘s birthday last year (2016), Sussanne wished her on Instagram and shared an old photo of herself and Hrithik with Gauri. The caption used #FriendsForLife gives us a clear hint that the couple may have been divorced now, but the two are still good friends.

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan got married in 2000 and have two children together, named Hrehaan and Hridhaan. So, has their separation affected their relationship with their children? Sussanne shared:

“We do chat a lot even though we don’t hang out together anymore. But above all, we are very committed to our children. We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it’s important to put our differences aside and protect them.”

Well, they have chosen to remain friends, for the sake of their children. In fact, Sussanne supported her ex-husband in the much-talked-about ‘Hrithik-Kangana controversy’. She tweeted that the pictures leaked by the Queen actress were all morphed. She also posted the actual picture with this message:

The ex-couple is often spotted together with their kids on various holidays and also at family dinners! They are doing all this for a better upbringing of their children, and we appreciate it.

Well, people do grow apart with time, and not all fairytale love stories have happy endings. We are happy that this ex-couple, Hrithik and Sussanne, have remained to be on cordial terms for a better upbringing of their kids.
