Gangs Of Wasseypur: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur is one of the most iconic crime dramas. The star cast of the film, the characters played by them and the dialogues in the two-part franchise are still remembered the most. Apart from Manoj Bajpayee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, most of the actors associated with this project are doing very well in their careers today.
However, Anurag Kashyap made this film on a limited budget and amid many financial problems. In such a situation, he could not afford to cast a regional cinema superstar in this crime drama.
Why Anurag Kashyap could not afford Ravi Kishan in Gangs of Wasseypur?
In fact, Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan recently revealed in an interview to Shubhankar Mishra that he was considered for Gangs of Wasseypur, but was not finalized because of the image he had created for himself. Ravi Kishan revealed, “I used to bathe in milk. I used to enjoy it. Someone told this to Anurag Kashyap. I am an eccentric person, that’s why I am an artist. If I were a normal person, I would be working in an office, and would carry a tiffin box to work. Anurag said that he did not have the budget for my demands and so I lost the film. Someone also spread some more rumors about me. Everyone in that film got angry later.”
Why did Ravi Kishan bathe with milk?
He further said, “The Godfather has been shown 500 times and I am a Desi artist. Anyway, I did all these plays, all this creates an atmosphere, I think if I go after taking a bath in milk, then there will be a discussion that he takes a bath in milk,”
