Genelia D’Souza is internet’s favourite. So when she recently subtly clapped back at Sonam Kapoor for an insensitive comment she made in the past, it has gone viral. This is what happened.
The controversy started when Sonam appeared on the sixth episode ofĀ Koffee with KaranĀ season 7 along with her cousin Arjun Kapoor. Sonam was asked who she thinks is the most real on Instagram.
Pregnant with her son Vayu at the time, Sonam replied, “Genelia, Sameera, whatever, all these people.”
Even though Karan Johar and Arjun laughed it off, this comment did not sit well with a lot of people, especially with Genelia’s fans. A Reddit page recently posted the same clip with the caption, “Genelia’s one South movie is equal to her whole career, jealousy can be seen on your face.”
The widely circulated video not only reached Genelia, but she also reacted and dropped a comment on the post. The actress posted a bunch of folded hands emoji on it.

Recently, Genelia recently celebrated her father’s birthday. She took to Instagram to share two adorable photos with him.
In the first picture, Genelia and her father were twinning in matching black hoodies and denim bottoms on a sports field. The second photo was a black and white picture of an adorable moment of the two.
