Rakul Preet Singh Reveals She Was Replaced By Kajal Aggarwal In A Prabhas Film: ‘I Shot For Four Days…’

Rakul Preet Singh recalled how she was replaced by Kajal Aggarwal in a Prabhas movie when she had begun her career. She spoke about how she was not heartbroken when she got the news.

Rakul Preet Singh started her career as a model and then made it to the films. Before she became one of the most

sought-after faces in Bollywood, she began her career with Kannada and Telugu films. In a recent interview, the

actor revealed that she was replaced by Kajal Aggarwal in a Prabhas movie after she shot with the team for four days.

She mentioned that this incident took place during the initial days of her career.

In a conversation with Filmfare, Rakul Preet Singh talked about being replaced by an actor when she had just started

working. She mentioned that she was replaced after she shot for four days. She revealed that she was replaced by

Kajal Aggarwal in a Prabhas film because they had delivered a hit film back then. She mentioned that it happened for

the ‘best.

Singh recalled, “There was a film in Telugu that I shot for four days and I was replaced. It was with Prabhas. It was

for the best. Everybody had the best intentions. I was new and in my second year in college. I was studying on the set

for my exams. The film was Mr Perfect. So after we finished the first schedule, I went to Delhi and there I got to know

that I had been replaced by Kajal Aggarwal. So, Kajal and Prabhas’ another film was released that week while we

were shooting and it had become a blockbuster. So, the producers thought to repeat the same cast and it was a

business call. That happens many times when a new girl gets replaced.”

In the same conversation, she mentioned that she was not heartbroken but rather she looked forward to the next

best thing. She continued, “I went back to Delhi and they told me that they will let me know about the second

schedule. I got to know that I had been replaced when I went back to Delhi. I said, ‘Okay. There is something better

for me.’”

Singh also mentioned how she was living in Kandivali when she had just started working in films. She said how living

away from other struggling actors and models in Andheri helped her establish a positive mindset. The actor made

her debut in movies with Gilli in 2009. Post this Kannada film, she made her Bollywood debut with Yaariyan in

2014. She was last seen in Indian 2 where she shared the screen with Kamal Haasan.
