The organisers claimed they would file a police complaint against Triptii Dimri as one of the women proceeds to deface her poster at the venue.
Actor Triptii Dimri has denied skipping an event in Jaipur a day after the organisers defaced her posters at the venue and claimed the Animal star charged Rs 5.5 lakhs but refused to turn up. The oragnisers of a Nari Shakti event of FICCI FLO’s Jaipur chapter were seen blackening posters of Triptii, who they claimed had agreed to grace the event, but didn’t.
Denying any such commitment made by her, the actor’s spokesperson sent a statement, noting that Triptii “fully honoured” her professional obligations during the promotions of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, her upcoming film co-starring Rajkummar Rao. What wasn’t part of this obligation, the spokesperson said, was the said FICCI event, for which the actor didn’t charge any money, as claimed otherwise.
“During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honored her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film. Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties. It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities,” the statement read.
In videos which emerged from the venue, the organisers were seen claiming that they would file a police case against Triptii Dimri and then one of the women proceeds to deface her poster, as the audience cheers.
“No one should watch her films; the entire Jaipur must boycott her because they commit and then don’t show up. She is not at all worth calling a celebrity,” said one woman, seemingly part of the organising team.
Triptii Dimri has been on a career high since the release of her blockbuster film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. The actor, known for her films like Qala, Laila Majnu and Bulbbul, was recently seen in Vicky Kaushal starrer Bad Newz and will now also be seen in Kartik Aaryan-Vidya Balan led horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, gearing for a grand Diwali release.
