They were deeply in love when they tied the knot, but their marriage didn’t end on good terms. Saif and Amrita have two children together: Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. In the past, the Omkara actor has spoken openly in interviews about his marriage to Amrita. While he is now happily married to Kareena Kapoor Khan, there was a time when Saif and Amrita struggled to find happiness during their marriage.

In the interview, Khan questioned why he was constantly being reminded of how he was a terrible husband and an awful father. He revealed that he carries a photo of his son Ibrahim in his wallet and feels like crying every time he looks at it. Saif also shared that he misses his daughter, Sara, all the time.
At the time, Saif Ali Khan was dating Rosa, and there were rumours that this relationship had influenced him against Amrita and their kids. Saif dismissed these reports as nonsense, stating that Amrita was aware of his relationship with Rosa. The actor also talked about the financial aspects of the divorce, mentioning that he was required to pay Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which he had already paid Rs 2.5 crore. Saif was also paying Rs 1 lakh per month until his son Ibrahim turned 18. The Adipurush actor explained that all the work he was doing—whether from advertisements, stage shows, or movies—was to provide for his children. He said he had no money left, as his bungalow was for his ex-wife Amrita and their kids. Saif expressed relief at finding someone new in Rosa, saying that she gave him a renewed sense of self-worth.
Further discussing his separation from Amrita Singh and his relationship with Rosa, Saif Ali Khan shared that it isn’t easy to be constantly reminded of how worthless one is and to endure taunts, jeers, insults, and abuses directed at their mother and sister. Saif revealed that he went through all of that. However, being with Rosa helped him heal. He felt that with Rosa, he had finally found someone who made him feel valued. He questioned what was wrong with being with someone new who made him feel worthy.
