In a throwback video that’s going viral, Tanushree Dutta talked about Vivek Agnihotri’s inappropriate behaviour towards her on the sets of Chocolate.
Actress Tanushree Dutta, who appeared in the 2005 film Chocolate, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, has shared troubling experiences from her time on the set. Chocolate, a suspense thriller, included a star-studded cast featuring Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Suniel Shetty, Emraan Hashmi, and Arshad Warsi. Recently, Tanushree’s account of her experiences working with The Kashmir Files director has gone viral on Reddit again. The reactions to this video are quite extreme, and it has become a topic of discussion again.
Tanushree Dutta also recounted how she was not allowed to rest comfortably between takes. As an actress, she expected to rest in her van when not shooting, especially given the revealing outfits she was required to wear for certain scenes. However, Dutta was not allowed to stay in her van or even cover herself with a robe. When she tried to sit with a robe on, Vivek Agnihotri instructed her to remove it because the director would tell her they had a shot coming up. This led to her feeling exposed and uncomfortable, as she had to remain in her short skirt in front of the entire crew.
On Reddit, people have shared their reactions and posted how Irrfan Khan and Arshad Warsi fought for her. “I also read somewhere that Irrfan khan and Suniel Shetty also fought with Agnihotri and stood with her,” reads a comment under the post. Another Redditor wrote, “This is clearly a form of harassment, abuse, and an extreme level of bullying.”
