Katrina Kaif once shared that she often sought Instagram advice from Alia Bhatt during late-night hours, relying on her expertise for anything related to the platform.
Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, two of Bollywood’s leading ladies, have enjoyed a strong friendship over the years. Although their film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ hasn’t begun production yet, their bond has been evident in various public appearances, including a memorable episode of ‘BFFs with Vogue’ in 2017.
During this episode, Alia and Katrina appeared in matching monochrome outfits, which host Neha Dhupia humorously pointed out. This prompted Katrina to ask, “Is that an insta word?” to which Alia confirmed it was.
The conversation took a fun turn when Katrina revealed their quirky late-night interactions. She shared, “Alia is my Insta question person. In the middle of the night, I message her at 2-3 am, ‘My picture is not fitting in my Insta, what do I do?’” Alia’s practical advice was, ‘You have to make it smaller,’ but Katrina admitted that sometimes she would realize, “It’s 1:00 am and it’s not the time to be asking people questions.”
Regarding their upcoming film ‘Jee Le Zaraa,’ it was officially announced in 2021. Alia, Katrina, and Priyanka Chopra shared an announcement video on Instagram. Alia captioned a photo with her co-stars, “2 years ago. 3 girls came together with 1 dream… 50 Zoom calls later. Countless laughs later. With hearts full of love and excitement. Here we are. #JeeLeZaraa.”
Despite several delays, director Farhan Akhtar recently confirmed in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla that he will “definitely” direct “Jee Le Zaraa.” The film remains highly anticipated by fans eager to see these powerful actresses share the screen.
Katrina was last seen in the mystery thriller film Merry Christmas. It was directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi as the main lead. The film was produced jointly by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg under Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. It is based on Frédéric Dard’s French novel Le Monte-charge (The Bird in the Cage).
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is currently engrossed in the filming of her upcoming project, Alpha. Co-starring Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol, the YRF film continues to grab attention ever since its announcement. Besides Alpha, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. In the film, the actress will be sharing the screen space with Vedang Raina, who debuted in the industry last year with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Additionally, she also has the much awaited Love & War in her kitty. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will also be featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
