Deepika Padukone has yet again proved why she’s ahead of everyone in the game. The Indian star was recently featured in TIME magazine for bringing Indian culture on the world map.
With this, Deepika Padukone gets added to the list of the rare Indian actors to be on the cover of TIME, as she joins the club of global figures like Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey and other influential personalities who’ve had the honour of featuring on the cover. It is not her first association with TIME since last year the actress was awarded ‘The Time100 Impact Award’ for her achievements in cinema and for her work in mental health advocacy. She was also the only Indian to be honoured twice by TIME.
About Deepika Padukone
Padukone is one of the most successful and sought-after actresses in Bollywood. Born on January 5, 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Deepika made her acting debut in 2006 with the Kannada film “Aishwarya”. She then made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with the film “Om Shanti Om” opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Since then, Deepika has starred in numerous successful films and has become one of the most popular actresses in the industry.
Apart from her acting skills, Deepika is also known for her style and fashion sense. She has been featured on the cover of several prestigious magazines, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle. But Deepika’s success has not been without its share of struggles. She has been vocal about her battle with depression and has used her platform to raise awareness about mental health.
