Bollywood celebrities have taken to social media to show their support for Indian athletes participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The opening ceremony saw Indian sports stars and celebrities sharing heartfelt messages and moments online.
The 2024 Summer Olympics are being held in Paris, and the opening ceremony took place on Friday, July 26. In anticipation of India’s participation, Bollywood celebrities have extended heartfelt messages to the athletes representing the nation on social media.
The opening ceremony, held along the River Seine, featured Indian sports stars PV Sindhu and Sharath Kamal as flag bearers. Reports indicate that 78 athletes and support staff were on a boat, cheering for India during the opening ceremony. They all proudly waved the Tricolor.
Notably, Deepika Padukone’s father, legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone, was also on the Indian boat. Deepika shared this moment on Instagram, tagging it with #Olympics2024.
Actor Taapsee Pannu shared a moment on her Instagram stories, featuring her husband, Mathias Boe, at the Paris Olympics.
The image showed Boe with a group of Indian supporters, holding the Indian flag.
Alia Bhatt dedicated an Instagram story to the Indian athletes and wrote, “Onwards and Upwards Team India (sic).”
Ajay Devgn took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his admiration for the Indian athletes, where he wrote, “To all Indian Athletes, You are the pride of our nation. The best at what y’all do.
